Offer to adolescents by MITERA Children’s Hospital

On the occasion of the new Academic year, Olympic Air in cooperation with MITERA Children’s Hospital, the HYGEIA Group Children’s Hospital where the Department of Adolescent Medicine is hosted, offers Olympic Air domestic flights passengers a 20% discount for the first visit at the aforementioned Department, starting from Sunday, September 12, up to Tuesday, September 14.

The offer concerns adolescents at the age of 11 to 18 years and is valid until October 31, taking place at MITERA Children’s Hospital, by appointment only.

The Department of Adolescent Medicine of MITERA Children’s Hospital aims to fill the significant gap in the healthcare services associated with puberty – an age group that represents about 11% of the Greek population. The Department constitutes the first organized structure for adolescent care at a Private Pediatric Clinic that is staffed by experienced scientists specialized on the various corresponding pediatric subspecialties.

The Department is addressed to adolescents at the age of 11 to 18 years and their families giving them the opportunity to discuss and resolve issues of their concern during their physical as well as their psychosocial development.

More specifically, services are offered to adolescents during hours tailored specifically to their activities’ schedule. Services include Adolescent medicine-Healthcare Education (vaccination, sexual education, prevention of accidents, results from narcotics use and addiction, internet use and safety, chronic diseases), body weight-obesity control, eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia), pediatric endocrinology, dermatology (acne problems and hirsutism), orthopedics, gynecology and Precocious Puberty Clinic, psychological support and pediatric psychiatry, Counseling for parents and families for crisis management.
