- Movement Disorders, deep brain stimulation for movement disorders, pain and psychiatric diseases, other neuromodulation methods for neurologic and psychiatric diseases, stroke, diseases of the peripheral nervous system, autoimmune diseases of the nervous system, epilepsy
Research Interest:
Deep brain stimulation, extension of its indications in the whole spectrum of movement disorders, epilepsy and psychiatric and other neurodegenerative disorders. Neuromodulation with repetitive transcranial neuronavigated magnetic stimulation, extension of its indications.
Member of the PPN working group since 2013, international comity investigating the effect of deep brain stimulation at the pedunculopontine nucleus in the brainstem, inpurpose to imrove gait in extrapyramidal diseases
Main investigator in the TRUST study (transdermal Rotigotine User surveillance study), international multicentric study for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease 2010-2013
