  • Follow up of children with several respiratory problems with special interest in pediatric asthma

  • Use of several biomarkers for the follow up of children with mild to moderate persistent asthma (exhaled NO, exhaled breath condensate (EBC), sputum induction) and their correlation with the “Asthma Control Test”

  • Treatment Protocol for children with “difficult to treat asthma”

  • Assessment of airway inflammation in patients with cystic fibrosis

  • The normal development of the basement membrane of the bronchial tree

  • Efficacy and safety of formoterol when administered with the «Elpenhaler» device (has been financed by the pharmaceutical company ELPEN)

  • Polymorphisms in the Hypothalamic – Pituitary- Adrenal axis and adrenal suppression in asthmatic children on long term use of inhaled corticosteroids (has been financed by the pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline)

  • Multicenter Epidemiological Study to assess the prevalence of respiratory syncytial cirus and the evaluation of risk factors in children less than 2 years of age hospitalized for respiratory tract infection in Greece 2012-2013 (financed by Abbot Laboratories Greece)

  • Multicenter non interventional study «PNEUSIS» from MSD pharmaceutical company of pneumococcal serotype prevalence and antimicrobial resistance in pediatric patients with pneumococcal infections in Greece {2022-2024)
