The Department

The ENT Clinic comprises one of the most important Departments within the MITERA Hospital, dedicated in treating diseases of the ear, nose, throat, and head & neck, both in pediatric and adult patients. The Clinic is manned with trained professionals, and equipped with the latest technology.

The ENT Diagnostic Department is fully equipped and highly specialized in assessing neonates, children, and adults. The Clinic possesses equipment for performing screening tests on neonates (otoacoustic emissions, evoked brainstem responses), as well as tympanometry, sound reflex, and hearing tests in children and adults. It also boasts a fully equipped Endoscopic Department for adults and children.

The Department of ENT Surgery is equipped with cutting-edge technology, such as endoscopic systems, state-of-the-art microscopes, radiofrequencies, and laser.

The following procedures are performed:

• ear surgery
• nasal surgery (septoplasty, turbinate surgery, functional rhinoplasty, FESS)
• throat surgery (tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, tongue-tie release)
• head & neck, thyroid, parathyroid gland surgery
• surgical management of sleep apnoea syndrome (uvulopalatoplasty), in cooperation with the Sleep Study Department

The ENT Clinic is examining pediatric and adult patients daily, by appointment in the morning, in the context of the Outpatient Clinic, as well as 24/7, in an Emergency setting.
