Κλινικό ενδιαφέρον

Ο κος Χριστόπουλος είναι διαπιστευμένος ειδικός στη λαπαροσκοπική χειρουργική και το κλινικό του ενδιαφέρον εστιάζεται στην αναπαραγωγική ιατρική, την εξωσωματική γονιμοποίηση και την αντιμετώπιση της εμμηνόπαυσης. Ο κος Χριστόπουλος έχει εκτεταμένη εμπειρία στην αντιμετώπιση κυήσεων υψηλού κινδύνου και στο γυναικολογικό υπέρηχο.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της 12ετούς εργασίας του στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, πραγματοποίησε και δημοσίευσε σημαντικές έρευνες για την αντιμετώπιση του συνδρόμου πολυκυστικών ωοθηκών, των ινομυωμάτων καθώς και νέων μεθόδων εξωσωματικής γονιμοποίησης με άριστη ασφάλεια για τη γυναίκα και το μωρό.

Ερευνητικό ενδιαφέρον

Το ερευνητικό έργο του κου Χριστόπουλου σε νέες μεθόδους εξωσωματικής γονιμοποίησης συγκέντρωσε την προσοχή της παγκόσμιας επιστημονικής κοινότητας, βραβεύτηκε από την European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology και παρουσιάστηκε στο ευρύτερο κοινό από δημοσιογραφικούς οργανισμούς όπως το BBC, οι Times του Λονδίνου και ο Guardian. Για το ερευνητικό του αυτό έργο, ο κος Χριστόπουλος ανακηρύχθηκε σε επίτιμο Επίκουρο Καθηγητή της Ιατρικής του Imperial College London.
